WHO WE ARE

Westberg Innovation, LLC was founded in 2002, by Tom Westberg.  The company mission is to provide world class engineering solutions in the medical space.  We typically partner with smaller startup companies, but also have collaborations with fortune 500 companies.  Most engagements lead to long term business relationships.

Prior to starting the company Tom held leading technical positions both in product development and manufacturing engineering at Baxter International Inc. and Outboard Marine Corporation for a period of twenty years.

Tom’s origins go back to Europe.  Born in Finland, lived in Sweden, Spain, Austria, England, and Belgium.  Traveled extensively throughout Europe, Africa, and 
the Middle East earlier in his career.  Tom became a US Citizen in 2009, after having lived in the Chicago area for twenty-five years.

 

Tom’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the City University in London, Master of Engineering Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Master of Management Degree from Northwestern University.
